Creativation – CHA – 2017

I had the opportunity to go to Creativation yesterday and I can tell you that it’s everything you think it would be. Admittedly, I wish I could go for multiple days and next time I will sign up earlier so I can take some classes. We didn’t make it to all the booths that we wanted to because it’s a big event but we did find some awesome NEW things coming out in the next few months!

OK, not the best pic of me, but it had to be done!

We found these gnomes and couldn’t resist the photo op!

When I saw Finnabair (Anna Dabrowska) she was the first “craft celebrity” I had seen in person. So naturally I creeper stalked and took a photo from a weird angle while my Mom and BFF urged me to just go say hi!

Some lovely work in the Prima booth (assuming it’s Anna’s.)

Next craft celebrity I ran into was Dina Wakely! I was again star struck but this time I talked to her and asked a few questions. She has some great products coming out that Intoxicating Arts will be carrying. Don’t forget we already carry her paints and other products! P.S. I did not realize how FUNNY Dina is! I didn’t want to leave but her voice was starting to give out on her and we had a lot of the show left to do.

How cute are these little guys?! You can see them next to a full size archival ink. They are adorable minis. I love that they kept the rectangle shape too. We will be stocking these along with the full size ones that we already carry.

Of course you find what you are looking for when you’re not looking! We thought we would find Tim in the Ranger booth but he has products throughout the show and we stumbled upon him at his Ideaology booth. Yes, he is super nice and happy in person too!

Tim Holtz art found in the Sizzix booth. If you guys want these dies, you need to let me know!

More awesome houses

We made our way to the Therm-o-web booth where Gina K was exhibiting her new line. These products will be shipping in March and we will be carrying a pretty good chunk of the line (including her to die for paper and luxurious ribbons!) She made this entire card using only products she’s collaborated with therm-o-web with. ( I asked for the card and she let me have it!) If you love her style of clean and simple cards and you have been wanting to get in on the foil craze, you will want to stay tuned.

Alte New is staying true to their brand with buildable stamps. I was really drawn to this one.

Waffle Flower wowed with some unique stamp sets. They have these ones along with buildable ones that look like cross stitch!

20170122_165904

This stamp set caught my eyes because I was thinking of mixed media cards. The lady working the booth showed me that it actually creates a marble pattern! How awesome!

20170122_101412

It’s hard to tell in the picture, but these are some truly amazing stamps! As you pull the black lines over the images they become animated. It’s just like a children’s book I bought my daughter.

These super cool embossing folders by Sizzix also cut in the middle to make a shaker card. It does it all in one pass. Genius!

Towards the end of the day were were wandering around trying to find Lawn Fawn ( we forgot our map in the car, oops!) and we happened to walk by the Ranger booth and BAM! I saw Wendy Vecchi, Christine from Scraptime and Dyan Reaveley. I didn’t have a chance to say hi to the others because they walked off, but I did get to talk to Dyan for a little bit and let her know how much I enjoy using and selling her products.

Ashley and I next to the Graphic 45 booth!

I was very glad to get to go to the show this year since it was moved to Phoenix. I took more pictures and saw even more awesome products. You will see some new things in the store in the coming months! I will make sure to do blog posts to update.

P.S. thanks for sticking with me. I now have a 4.5 month old and it’s tough to keep up when you also work full time plus have a side business. I’m trying to keep it all going because I love crafting and I love selling these products. Never give up on your daydream, right!?

New Texture Tools 5 pack is now available!

Intoxicating Arts is now offering Texture Tools in a 5 pack! Click the picture to buy for $5.49!

This set of 5 plastic texture tools work wonderfully with heavy bodied acrylic paints, texture paste, modeling paste, and gel mediums. Just lay down your medium and drag the texture tool through it to get interesting textures. This set includes 4 different textures and one flat tool that can be used in a wissping motion to create frosting like effects or even used as a palette knife for stencils.

Each texture tool has a stencil in the center that coordinates with the texture that it creates. Made of .040″ thick flexible plastic. Your set will come with a blue liner that can be removed before use. This blue liner protects the plastic from scratches and burn marks from the laser cutting process.

These texture tools have a comfortable ergonomic feel. The texture coverage width is 2-13/16″.

Clean immediately after use with soap and water or a baby wipe. Chemical Resistant. Keep away from extreme heat.

Charms & Findings are back on the site!

That’s right….Charms and Findings are back on the website. When we switched websites a while back we never put these beauties back on there until now! Currently there are 10 different listings for charms and findings, but we have quite a bit more that will be listed in the coming weeks.

Charms are a great way to add a little movement to mini albums, altered art, and cards.  Our low prices and small purchase quantity also make it inexpensive and un-intimidating to make your own charm pieces!

Also, just a quick note, we have NEW RANGER PRODUCTS INBOUND!! Wahoo! I am so excited to see the new dye ink pads and especially their new clear texture pastes!

Here’s a few of my favorite pieces that are up for sale on the website RIGHT NOW!

Have you checked out Prima lately?!

I am so incredibly excited for the new Prima Marketing items that are going to be released at Summer CHA 2012. I wish I was going. That would be amazing. Anyways, I want to be able to offer these items at great prices. SO…I am in the process of clearing out inventory to make room and cash for purchasing these beautiful lines they are releasing. I don’t think there is another company out there quite like Prima. I am liking them more and more.

Re-designed Website…by accident!

Hey, just wanted to let everyone know that I re-designed the online store at http://shop.intoxicatingarts.com . It actually happened by accident. I went on there to make one little change to something  I didn’t like and something happened when it was saving. It froze and I lost everything! Ugh, why does that keep happening to me?! Anyways, it turns out that it was a blessing in disguise. Luckily, all of my inventory, policies, text, etc. was safe. I just had to re-design the visual aspect of the site. It dumped everything I had and replaced it with some canned template that literally said “Logo” where mine used to be. EEK! I freaked out because I obviously couldn’t leave my website in this condition. Thank goodness it only took about an hour and a half to fix the design. The reason I say it was a blessing in disguise is because I got rid of the black background in a lot of spots. I found that having the item descriptions in white text on the black background might be annoying to some and hard to read for others. So I went back to the traditional white background with black text. I think it looks a lot better all around too.

Enough of that…

On a happier note, I have even MORE Graphic 45 items on the way (yay!) and some of my Ranger Industries (a.k.a. awesome Tim Holtz goodies) items have shipped and should be here next week. I got some of the CHA Release stuff, but some is still on back-order. I also got a couple Melting Pots. If you have been looking for a Melting Pot for a good price (that someone actually has in stock), be sure to keep an eye on my website. I’ll post everything for sale when I actually have them in my hands. http://shop.intoxicatingarts.com .
