Hey everyone. I just wanted to share another Christmas card real quick. I have a few more that I need to take pictures of as well. If I only make cards once a year, it is always Christmas cards that I make sure to get done. I found the “Welcome Christmas into your heart” saying on the internet and designed my own word art using Inkscape then printed it on cardstock. Designing word art in Inkscape is the easiest way to get a new “stamp” without actually having to buy anything! I inked it using three different green distress inks and flicked some water on it then blotted it up. The small trees were made by folding half of a circle. I am not sure of the size since I just traced my Bare Minerals container (LOL). I believe those papers were some 7 Gypsies papers I had in my stash. I cut out a few pieces of snowflake paper from A DCWV mat stack that I have had since last year. Then I inked the edge with broken glass distress ink. I made one tree different and added a green rhinestone as a “star” to the top. This little tree is welcoming Christmas into it’s heart :-). Have a Merry Christmas everyone!

Bunch of Christmas Cards Done
Nothing fancy here. Just trying to squeeze these in before It’s too late ! I mostly used G45’s Nutcracker Sweet from last year and DCWV Heirloom Christmas Stack, which is also from last year. I’m on a spending freeze until I use up some stuff in my room. ( with the exception of glues and such). Luckily, I have plenty of Christmas items to chose from !
This is the only inside I’m going to show. Even though I did for inside of all my cards, most of them are pretty boring. I happen to like this one though.
Hopefully I’ll have enough time to squeeze another six in ! The only bad thing about rushing cards is my creativity lacks. I may have to just pick an easy mass produce design and do that for the rest. I just prefer making each different since they feel more special that way :-). Remember, I sell Graphic 45 and Prima at http://www.shop.intoxicatingarts.com !

Wishing you all things Fabulous – Birthday Card
Hey everyone ! I’m sorry I have been neglecting the blog but life has been ultra busy since school is back in now. I recently made a card for my sisters birthday. Making cards has kind of become an obligatory artistic task that I don’t mind being obligatory. Haha . Basically what I mean is since I have already made cards for some of my family members I feel obligated to make them for all of them. However, it doesn’t bother me because I use it as a valid excuse to have to make something 🙂
Below is the card I made for my sisters birthday. I hope you like it and if you have any questions, just let me know !

Mouse Birthday Card
This card is a birthday Card for my mom. We went craft shopping together and I had found the mouse stamp at Hobby Lobby and hid it from her so I could use it on her card. I knew I was going to color the mouse from the minute I bought it, but I didn’t have an idea for the rest of the card yet. I started thinking about the sentiment and then remembered that earlier that day I had bought a quote at the local scrapbook store that said a verse from the song ” what a wonderful world ” I had shared my find with my mom and she said ” oh, I love that song too “. After looking at the cute mouse laying there with eyes closed and a grin of satisfaction …I knew that would be a great sentiment. I downloaded a font and made the sentiment using ECAL software. Using that software allowed me to get a shadow image with a matter of a simple click. I printed the top image on printable vellum and the bottom on cardstock . This allowed the bottom shadow image to look exactly like just that , a shadow . I cut out a frame , adhered the vellum , and popped it up with foam adhesive on top of the cardstock phrase. I had stamped the mouse using memento tuxedo black and colored it with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers . I inked the edges using a sponge and Mix
‘d Media Inx in Peridot . I die cut it using a Spellbinders oval die. That was also adhered using foam adhesive . The small flowers were from Michael’s and made by Shabby Chic. The paper found on this card is a stack that was found on sale at Michael’s. It is DCWV Vintage Garden. I hope you like my card and I’ll be posting a video once the inside is finished . “Just Thinking of You” Card with Photo Pocket
Hi Everyone!
I have to make this quick, but I wanted to give a quick update about what I have been up to lately. I finally made a Facebook page for Intoxicating Arts,http://www.facebook.com/intoxicatingarts . Also, just in case you want to see the videos I have recently uploaded, here is the link to my Channel, www.youtube.com/user/IntoxicatingArts . The videos I have uploaded recently show everything I would tell you here. I have been playing around with my Slice Machine lately . I used it to cut out a couple things I will be using on my nephews “Lucky #7” birthday card I will be making. I also show this card that I am posting pictures of below. I made a dimensional envelope for the card too. I will come back and show pictures of the birthday card once it is done and I will also show you a Father’s Day card that I plan on making. Also, I now carry some of The Paper Loft’s papers! Wahoo! Click here to see them in my store 🙂
Here are the pics. If you want to know how I did something, please just ask!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Looking for DCWV & Sizzix Deals?
Have you checked out www.DCWVdeals.com yet? If you haven’t you really should! It’s Die Cuts With a View’s super awesome deals page. Their little slogan is “You need the savings, we need the space!”. They are not kidding about these deals.
I just placed an order yesterday for a couple things and the shipping is very reasonable too. I’m most excited for my Bella Boutique 12 x 12 stack that I paid only $7.46 for. This stack was originally $19.99. I call that a super sweet deal! I almost bought two packs, but I restrained since I also bought a couple things from Amazon, Ebay, and Etsy yesterday. I wanted my money to stretch further instead of hoarding one paper stack.
Here’s what the front of the stack looks like:
Definitely check out www.DCWVdeals.com . They have a very limited amount of items on there, but it’s totally worth stopping by. Another place I go to on a semi-regular basis is the Outlet on www.sizzix.com . Just hover over “Clearance” in the upper right corner and you will see “Outlet” as an option. Click that and you will see only deeply discounted items. I have found some amazing deals on here before, but I normally only buy if I have at least a couple things I want because of the way their shipping costs are structured.
Hopefully I have helped you find a couple good deals out there! Thanks for checking out my blog.
