Always be Curious Art Journal Page

I had so much fun making this Art Journal page and it’s definitely my most favorite art journal page so far! There are links below the pictures to purchase the items that I used that we sell and also links to the products we do not sell.

I originally intended to post a process video of this art journal page, but apparently my larger 64GB memory card couldn’t handle more than 1 hour and 20 minutes. So, until I figure out a way around that, I will just do blog posts of the longer projects. This one took me multiple hours due to the many layers and drying time.

Here’s the links to the products I use that we sell:

• I used a TON of Prima’s 3-D Gloss Gel

Galactic Blue Luster Mica Powder and Hawaiian Orchid Luster Mica Powder

Gramma Nutt Luster Mica Powder mixed with Liquitex Gloss Super Heavy Gel, stored in a jar, and applied with one of our Texture Tools.

Hawaiian Shores Luster Mica Spray Mist and Deep Sea Dive Luster Mica Spray Mist

We just got a shipment in last night of some of the newest products from Ranger.

Dyan Reaveley’s Dylusions Paints are the perfect paint for art journaling. They are quick drying fluid paints that dry to a matte finish. They come in a nice wide mouth jar. Dyan has released youtube videos showing how to paint using baby wipes and create beautiful blending effects. After our 20% discount, you pay $3.99 per jar. There are 12 colors to choose from.

Next up, we have a new Tim Holtz release. Distress Micro Glaze is a water resistant sealer. It’s perfect for sealing off distress inks so you can continue wet methods on top without reactivating the distress inks below. You only need to buff on a little to protect the inks below. One jar is $6.79 after our 20% discount!

Tim Holtz demos it in this video :

Tim Holtz also came out with Distress Refresher Spray. If you have had your Distress Ink Pads, pens, or ink for a while now, they may have dried out a bit. Just spritz it with the refresher and get a nice juicy ink pad again. This refresher also works on other brands of water-based inks. $3.99 after 20% discount.

Another Tim Holtz release is the Distress It Yourself (DIY) ink pad. Now this one, I am very excited about. How cool is it that you can take your reinkers and make a custom ink pad?! You can take other brands of reinkers too! The pad includes a blank label on the top for indexing too. After our 20% discount, they are just $3.19.

Tim Holtz had been receiving requests from his fans to come out with the perfect sprayer for his fun water splatter methods. He came out with the Distress Sprayer. This is an empty sprayer that you fill with water to create spray effects. The cool thing about this particular sprayer is if you pull the trigger half way you will create water droplets. If you give it one swift pull, you will get a nice overall spray. The trigger also locks for worry free travel. After our 20% discount, it is $3.99.

That’s all the new products we got in this time, but don’t worry, we have plenty more on the way! Make sure to check back and see what fun new crafting items we have for you!

Tons of New Stencils!

Over the course of the past few weeks Intoxicating Arts has released TWELVE new stencils. They are perfect for A2 sized cards, but the designs make them wonderful for art journaling. Especially if you like the Dyan Reaveley style of funky backgrounds. All of our stencils are 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ and they are laser cut from .010″ thick laserpro plastic. That’s thicker than the industry standard of 8 mil mylar. These stencils are nice and durable. They work great with texture paste, gel medium, distress inks, acrylic paint, and pretty much whatever you want to use with them. With proper cleaning and care, they will last for a very long time. Below are the pictures of the new stencils. If you want to purchase any of them just click the picture. All of our stencils are just $3.99!

I had a lot of fun doing my first book binding , which ended up being mostly self guided. I’ve posted a video of this project on YouTube as well. I also made the inside pages using excel and printed them using the booklet setting on my printer. If you would like the file , please email me at intoxicatingarts@gmail.com . By the way, one person I know for a fact has a book binding tutorial on YouTube is Craftyloops . If you would like more information , please leave a comment . I’d love to hear from you .

Happy crafting !!
