Creativation – CHA – 2017

I had the opportunity to go to Creativation yesterday and I can tell you that it’s everything you think it would be. Admittedly, I wish I could go for multiple days and next time I will sign up earlier so I can take some classes. We didn’t make it to all the booths that we wanted to because it’s a big event but we did find some awesome NEW things coming out in the next few months!

We found these gnomes and couldn’t resist the photo op!

When I saw Finnabair (Anna Dabrowska) she was the first “craft celebrity” I had seen in person. So naturally I creeper stalked and took a photo from a weird angle while my Mom and BFF urged me to just go say hi!

Some lovely work in the Prima booth (assuming it’s Anna’s.)

Next craft celebrity I ran into was Dina Wakely! I was again star struck but this time I talked to her and asked a few questions. She has some great products coming out that Intoxicating Arts will be carrying. Don’t forget we already carry her paints and other products! P.S. I did not realize how FUNNY Dina is! I didn’t want to leave but her voice was starting to give out on her and we had a lot of the show left to do.

How cute are these little guys?! You can see them next to a full size archival ink. They are adorable minis. I love that they kept the rectangle shape too. We will be stocking these along with the full size ones that we already carry.

Of course you find what you are looking for when you’re not looking! We thought we would find Tim in the Ranger booth but he has products throughout the show and we stumbled upon him at his Ideaology booth. Yes, he is super nice and happy in person too!

More awesome houses

We made our way to the Therm-o-web booth where Gina K was exhibiting her new line. These products will be shipping in March and we will be carrying a pretty good chunk of the line (including her to die for paper and luxurious ribbons!) She made this entire card using only products she’s collaborated with therm-o-web with. ( I asked for the card and she let me have it!) If you love her style of clean and simple cards and you have been wanting to get in on the foil craze, you will want to stay tuned.

Alte New is staying true to their brand with buildable stamps. I was really drawn to this one.

Waffle Flower wowed with some unique stamp sets. They have these ones along with buildable ones that look like cross stitch!

This stamp set caught my eyes because I was thinking of mixed media cards. The lady working the booth showed me that it actually creates a marble pattern! How awesome!

It’s hard to tell in the picture, but these are some truly amazing stamps! As you pull the black lines over the images they become animated. It’s just like a children’s book I bought my daughter.

These super cool embossing folders by Sizzix also cut in the middle to make a shaker card. It does it all in one pass. Genius!

Towards the end of the day were were wandering around trying to find Lawn Fawn ( we forgot our map in the car, oops!) and we happened to walk by the Ranger booth and BAM! I saw Wendy Vecchi, Christine from Scraptime and Dyan Reaveley. I didn’t have a chance to say hi to the others because they walked off, but I did get to talk to Dyan for a little bit and let her know how much I enjoy using and selling her products.

Ashley and I next to the Graphic 45 booth!

I was very glad to get to go to the show this year since it was moved to Phoenix. I took more pictures and saw even more awesome products. You will see some new things in the store in the coming months! I will make sure to do blog posts to update.

P.S. thanks for sticking with me. I now have a 4.5 month old and it’s tough to keep up when you also work full time plus have a side business. I’m trying to keep it all going because I love crafting and I love selling these products. Never give up on your daydream, right!?
